Debby Wilkinson

I trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and went on to work as a professional actress and Secondary School Drama teacher where I was also an examiner for both GCSE and A-Level Drama exam boards.   I also worked for several years in West End theatre management and at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith.

After my children were born I worked as a freelance drama teacher running my own school for children (Act One Drama School) and teaching LAMDA in several Wiltshire Schools. During this time, I also worked in adult education as a Yoga teacher and teacher trainer. I opened the White Horse Yoga Centre in Devizes which I ran for 13 years running weekly classes and training and assessing yoga teachers to level 4 certification.  I closed the yoga centre at the end of 2024.

Throughout this whole period, I have been actively involved in the Wharf Theatre, both performing and directing.  At the Wharf Theatre I held the position of Artistic Director on two occasions. I was also an active member of TitCo and I continue to sing with the Fulltone Chorus.

When I turned 60, I decided that during the 3rd third of my life I wanted to turn my focus back to theatre in a more professional capacity and to bring all my experience in theatre, teaching and running a business together in the formation of my own theatre company.  3rd Third Theatre was born.
